1. Blog on a regular basis. At least 5 days a week if you can. It makes all the difference to ensuring you a regular flow of blog traffic.

2. Add a link to your side bar with a Facebook ‘Like’ button or a script ‘Book Mark or Add this site to your Favorites’. At least that way people can return when they want to.

3. Make sure people can find your RSS feed. It will allow them to continually receive your blog posts and read them without having to remember to come back to your site.

4. Use a “share this” button plugin and Amplify plugin too – these tools let people share what you have written with other people plus keep what they like in a place they can remember. I often use Amplify as a place to keep stuff I want to go back to later.

5. Ensure that each blog page and post post you create has appropriate titles and keywords so that your customer can find their way back to your site if they lose the book mark.

6. Get them to sign up using feedburner or your autoresponder account. That way your latest blog post will land in their inbox

7. Start a community. Using something like Mingle start a community in your niche once you have some traffic coming and people willing to join.

Getting traffic to your blog doesn’t have to be a difficult or time consuming process. In fact it can be the little things done consistently that really help you to build traffic to your blog over time.
