The student stereotype has always been the low-earning but free-spending individual that does not get to seriously consider saving until maybe their gap year partly because they don't earn that much to start with to be able to make any substantial savings. But there is also not being able to present a suitable skill set to attract the jobs that would suit them though others just dont have the time to work enough hours to raise sensible amount while studying especially with demanding courses or circumstances.
