A Brief About Michelin Star Restaurant System
Under the rating process, a team of qualified cuisine experts visit the Michelin-recommended establishments and decide whether or not they will go into the guide. They are fully determined to ensure full independence. For instance, they pay for the food their inspectors used. Michelin promotes creativity with the hospitality industry and avoid standardization by not creating a specific criterion for what constitutes the quality level required for the various start levels. Michelin star restaurants are managed by high-level chefs who are also known as “celebrity chefs”. The guide awards one to three stars to a small number of restaurants of excellent quality. It is often considered that a 3-start Michelin rating is almost rare. There are 26 “3-star” restaurants in the France and only 81 in the world. Added to the ratings system, restaurants are also given a number of symbols next to their listing such as coins are given to restaurants that serve a menu for a certain price or less or the grapes are given to restaurants that serve a somewhat excellent variety of wine.
