BioToi portable toilets have been heralded by many as a product that can help to transform camping trips. I thought I'd take a closer look at what all the fuss is about. This article is a review of the product, complete with observations and analysis.
To begin with, let's take a look at what the BioToi is and why there's felt to be a need for it. It is a compact toilet solution - it folds to make it small enough to transport easily. This is, in itself, seen as a key selling point.
It's not simply compact though - it's also environmentally friendly. By using a selection of biodegradable bags it ensures that it can be used without harming the environment.
So was this product designed to fill an existing gap in the market? It certainly seems like the manufacturers think so.
Picture the scene: you're on a camping holiday and wake up in the middle of the night. You know that there are toilets provided at the site because you used them earlier in the day. Unfortunately, they weren't clean and looked distinctly unhygienic.

It's clear that this innovative product would be useful in many circumstances. There are obvious options available for its use on camping trips, but it could also be used in other situations, such as when attending festivals.
