A Driving Fear Program Review For People Who Fear Driving

The driving fear program is said to be a revolution in self help program concepts. It was developed by Rich Presta who himself suffered from this phobia before he could overcome it. It was a joint effort by Presta and a clinical psychologist specializing in anxiety and phobias.

As the real world is often in stark contrast with the illusionary world, the driving fear program touches upon the issues that are as real as the world we live in. Individuals are likely to develop symptoms of stress and anxiety when they even think of driving. Therefore, this program addresses the thought processes to disintegrate the fears through the therapeutic process. This in effect helps people to overcome their hidden and deep seated fears of driving.

In the driving fear program process, people are brought face to face with their anxieties, and then are allowed to reflect logically on them. When the real reasons for fear are sorted out by the person they can actually think about whether or not their fears are worthy of importance.

The common repercussions of anxiety while driving are sweating palms, cold feet, racing heart and dizziness. Therefore, it is important to break the cycles of such feelings and this program does just that with those who use it. However, you need to keep in mind that this program will not help you achieve results overnight. Patience is a virtue and being consistent with the techniques that are provided is the key.

Panic attacks that come about when driving can be extremely dangerous. Drivers are likely to crash, lose control, break down and end up stranded where there is no help available. This kind of agoraphobia is something that needs to be carefully dealt with, before it takes away a person's self confidence and makes it impossible for them to even consider driving. Therefore, the driving fear program can become a ray of hope for such patients.

It is wrong to associate one unfortunate past experience with all future experiences, but this can happen when fears aren't dealt with. In the end, this negativity will only be more harmful making the fear of driving a conditioned response for the sufferer. People can make situations even worse with this phobia residing in their subconscious mind. Every time they face a bad experience, their conditioned response will be reinforced. Because of this, it is advised to motivate not only yourself but also your loved ones to go through the driving fear program at least once to overcome this fear before it gets out of control.

This driving fear program is based upon cognitive behavioral therapy and neuro-linguistic programming. It delves deeper into the minds of the sufferers, brings forth the causes of their fears, and addresses them to cure the mental processes happening in the mind of the patient.
