A Fantastic Wedding Reception Without The High Cost

With the economy at a low point currently, many people are looking for ways where they can have the wedding reception they dreamed of but not go broke at the same time. I am writing though to tell you that it is very possible still. There are people out there who hold their wedding reception for under one hundred dollars, minus the rings and clothing, and this will explain how.

The first thing to look at is the food issue. There are people who realized that hot dogs, baked beans and potato salad goes the best. Other people do things like having a build your own taco bar. The catering bill is what makes it most expensive, so try to cook the food yourself, or have family members each bring something along. Many family members will be very happy and even honored to help cook for the reception party.

Hire friends and relatives to run the bar if you have one, and for setting up prior to the party and clean up, as well. Again most will want nothing more than to help you out and will do it for next to nothing if not even completely free of charge. It is after all, your wedding day.

A great alternative to a florist is using silk flowers. They are inexpensive and many more varies of colors are available than the natural ones. The memories of your wedding can last forever in your bouquets; you can save them and reuse them for anniversaries and other occasions.

Children can even be employed for help with making some of the decorations. They will look at it as an arts and crafts project that will keep them busy while you iron out the other details to the wedding. They can possibly make confetti if you wish by cutting up pieces of colored construction paper.

In order to serve your guests comfortably, ask around and try to find some tables and chairs you can borrow from somebody, instead of renting them from a company. Then you will not have to worry so much about returning equipment by a deadline, equipment getting wrecked or stolen - and you'll save a lot of money, too.

A memorable and classy wedding day and reception is all planning and executing and not necessarily all money. Using all your resources doesn?t have to mean your whole bank account. Save on the costly items and use a little bit of thought, effort and carefully shopping and you can pull it off, and save your money for the honeymoon.
