A Few Tips For Financial Freedom
The first step to financial freedom is to sit down and analyze your income and expenditures. How much money do you actually make a month? Calculate every income source: your salary, any interest from a bank deposit, any stocks you may own, etc. Once you know how much you earn, it'll be much easier to figure out how much you should spend. Although it may sound over-obsessive, but writing down all your daily expenses in a little diary can really help you track your expenses and maintain a budget. Don't go too much into details; just write down what all you spent on. Include as much as you can remember, even if its a pack of gum. Then, calculate the total expenditure. This will give you a good idea where your money is being spent and you'll avoid the "where does all the money go?" question most people end up asking themselves. Take stock of your credit cards. Remove all but one or two from your wallet and stash them somewhere inaccessible (you can freeze them in a bowl of water). Keep just the cards that give you the lowest interest rate - this will help you keep your credit card debt down. Try looking for alternative sources of income, something part time that you can have fun doing. There are a lot of income opportunities floating around everywhere, and you have to just take advantage of these opportunities to see some extra cash roll in every month. Perhaps you can try having a blog online and make a few hundred dollars a month from it, or maybe you can go the whole hog and become an internet marketer. Maybe you can try getting a realtor's license and make some extra cash selling houses. The opportunities are limitless. Use money management tools such as Quicken or Mint.com. These make it easy for you to track your expenses and adhere to a monthly budget. Being financially free is all about taking some initiatives. It is not good enough to just sit at home and fantasize; you have to put in some effort to see your dreams of financial freedom realized.
