A Goal To Pay $72,900 Worth Of Debt In Two Years

I am sick of being neck deep in debt and want to gain control over my life. This is why I have developed a plan to be debt free by April 2009.

Working off $72,900 worth of debt is not going to be a simple undertaking, my husband makes a very small income already and I am a stay-at home mom of three kids.

On top of that, my husband is losing his job in July 2007 after being diagnosed with severe epilepsy, which cannot be stopped by medication.

Our forth child is due to be born that same month. In spite of how hard it will be, we are resolved and inspired to achieve our debt free dream.

Our debt work off plan is to earn money online through legitimate work at home companies. I have been able to find a few great ones so far and have been able to start a small income, which my plan is to expand over the next several months.

It will take a lot of work to be successful at making money online, I am putting in many hours because we are in a sink or swim position in our lives right now.

When my husband loses his job in July 2007, we are moving in with his parents so we can work on paying off our debts and save some money for a place of our own. My husband plans to do as many side jobs as possible to supplement our income and pay down our debt.

Our motivation to become debt free is incredibly strong, even to the point that we are gladly willing to work constantly and give up all the unnessecary extras of life that most people get to enjoy.

We have no cable television, we choose not to go out to eat, we only buy clothes for the kids when they clearly require them and we choose not to buy clothes for ourselves.

We don’t visit the movies, order pizza or do anything that requires us to spend money. Our kids do not get any new toys or games. Except those that come as gifts from grandparents.

I do not want to give off the impression that we deprive our kids. We do free activities with them so they have some fun, we like to go for walks and play at the park.

We do not eat any fancy meals. The staple of our diet consists of beans & rice and other low cost meals such as pastas, baked potatoes, and vegetable stir-fry.

We spent our family into debt, so it is our responsibility to get ourselves out of it. We have to sacrifice in order to meet our debt free goal.

I invite you to watch our progress as we work ourselves out of debt and towards financial independence.

Any advice or inspiration you can give will be very helpful to our cause.
