A Guide To Make Up For Wedding Portrait

Of all the things that should go into preparation of a wedding, the one thing that should be foremost is, for the bride and groom, to look absolutely natural. The day the picture is to be clicked, the bridegroom should have a fresh haircut and completely avoid wearing a stiff collar. If the bridegroom has been wearing a particular kind of bow ties, he should not switch to another one just for the wedding. If settling for a garment that is old, do check for the fit and the change in measurements and get it altered before time.

The bride, as well, should not attempt to try an unfamiliar hair color or hairdo for the wedding portrait and the wedding ceremony. The bride, if she doesn?t plan to wear a gown, should choose an outfit to complement that of the bridegroom?s. If the bridegroom decided to accessorize with a boutonniere, he should make sure that it should be the right size for his lapel. The bride should go for a garment which has an uninterrupted shoulder line so that if he corsage is long, it can be pinned.

To keep from spoiling her mood on her special day, she should not try any unfamiliar kind of makeup. The wedding day is no time to experiment with new shades of lipsticks or eye shadows. If possible, she should only try to keep the eye make-up at a minimum. The reason for this is that it tends to look much harsher in the camera, under the strong studio lights.

The application of the blush has to be very well articulated and must begin with highlighting of the cheek bone carried by the filling of the cheek line. There should be only a very little color applied to the chin?s base. The lips should have a definite color which should follow the actual lip line. For the final finishing, a face powder comes much in handy; a light dusting on the neck, throat and the face, would do the job. One important point to remember here is that the powder has to be lighter than the blush shade.

At times, even photographers and their team also advise some make up to highlight the face and get better pictures. Some assistants do accept the makeup you choose but others may make some suggestions for your approval. The bridegroom may also wish to use a trick that sometimes assists in giving the face a natural glow. When posing for portraits try using a cologne stick on your face and forehead and pat dry it with a tissue to look charming and suave.
