A Guide To Oregon Convention And Exhibition Centre

The artistically designed Oregon Convention Centre is the largest of its kind in the Pacific Northwest. The centre is not just dedicated to providing extra ordinary customer services and facilities but also attracts exhibitors and event organizers because of its magnificent and gorgeous twin spire towers that can undoubtedly impress guests and visitors.


A preferred venue for industry trade shows, banquets, conventions and meetings, the Oregon Convention Centre offers a contiguous exhibit space of 255,000 square feet in its five exhibit halls which can be divided into smaller halls of 30,000 or 60,000 square feet. Well furnished lobbies welcome visitors with a spectacular collection of art works and lead to almost 50 meeting rooms that are well equipped with state of the art climate and lighting controls.

While there are two large VIP Suites designed to accommodate formal and professional events, these are equipped with a private kitchen area and restroom and are preferred most often by corporate as convention offices or for hosting executive board meetings.

Not only among professionals and corporates for meetings and commercial purposes, the convention centre is a favourite among the hoi-polloi as well as elite classes with its two tastefully designed ornate ballrooms. The highlight of the centre is its 7,000 square feet Skyview Terrace on the fourth level which gives a stunning view of the Willamette River and downtown Portland. Excellent for private parties and special events it is surrounded by natural wood and is inclusive of two full-service bars.

The Portland International Airport is at a distance of just fifteen minutes from the centre. A rapidly growing airport on the West Coast, it has over 17 commercial carriers to different destinations. Portland also has two interstate highways and is served by Amtrak with daily train service.
With an efficient transportation infrastructure, Portland offers a mass transit system called TriMet that connects the downtown with three counties. TriMet also has en efficient road transport system with 93 bus lines that connect it to Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington counties. It has a wide range of taxi services also that can be used for commuting within the city.

Accommodation at Portland is not a problem with plenty of options available that can cater to the needs of various customers who have different budget and standard requirements. Some of such hotels are at close walk able distances of less than 0.5 miles from the centre and offer a large number of rooms that can be reserved by guests.
