Choosing an item that is relevant to your hobbies is a good strategy since you will be very familiar with the item and you will have an advantage over most competitors that aren't as familiar as you are. Such hobbies may be collections, sports, etc. If you look around and seek for items that are interesting and have a lot of meanings in your life you will want consider selling such item since you will obviously have some sort of knowledge of the item.
