Much of this ancient Roman town reflects each era that has made an impact on it. The beautiful streets have maintained the medieval pattern that they were first constructed on. The town sits on the River Arrow and is only seven miles from Stratford-on-Avon. The town and its surrounding area has been the scene for many archeological digs which have provided many of the roman artifacts found in museums throughout the area.

St. Nicolas Church, which has a 14th century tower and a 17th century hall is still in use and one can attend services there just as has been done for centuries. The grounds and buildings have been maintained and reflect the care and pride of the residents of the area.
