A Juggalo Dictionary: A Guide To The Juggalos' Favorite Words
But if you're just discovering your intense love for Insane Clown Posse, and you want to become a juggalo, it can be a little overwhelming at first. The juggalos have their own style of dress, greetings, and slang that can be hard to understand. No problem, though, if you want to be a juggalo, your true love of Insane Clown Posse and the other acts on the group's label, Psychopathic Records, will take you far. But here's a quick guide to the juggalos' main slang words: Clown love: This is a general term that indicates being a fan of Insane Clown Posse or being a juggalo. If you are showing or have clown love, it means you understand the group and its fans, and you're down with the juggalos. It's also used as a sign-off on Internet posts. Dark Carnival: The Dark Carnival refers to a mythology developed by Insane Clown Posse across a set of six major albums, now being continued in a new series of albums as well. It's described as a sort of purgatory as sorts where evil souls go for various carnival-themed tests and torments. Down with the clown: Being down with the clown is being a juggalo, or at least being sympathetic to the juggalos. It's similar to having clown love. Family: If someone is "family," and this is being said by a juggalo, that means the person is also a juggalo. This word is also a popular chant at Insane Clown Posse events. Faygo: An American brand of soda popular with the band and the juggalos, and often used in Insane Clown Posse's live shows. Hatchetman: The most popular Insane Clown Posse logo. Like the name indicates, it's a cartoon silhouette of a man carrying a hatchet. Homies: Your friends, the juggalos in general. Juggalette: The female version of a juggalo. MCL: An abbreviation for "much clown love," mostly used on the Internet. Ninja: A friend, synonymous with one of your homies. Richy: The juggalos accept anyone of any background, but what they do not accept is someone who thinks he or she is better than others. A richy is just that -- a rich person who looks down on those with less money. Scrub: Someone with less money or an outcast. Scrub doesn't have a negative connotation, though -- scrubs are definitely accepted by the juggalos! Whoop Whoop: A popular greeting, chant, and all-around expression of excitement.
