A Lesson In Technology
I didn’t understand how he could watch a live game on his computer. Did he have his TV hooked up to the monitor? Did he have one of those TV tuner cards that I had such bad luck with? To my surprise, I found that it was neither. He was watching a streaming broadcast that was going out live over the Internet. He told me he could watch NFL online anytime with his computer and his Internet connection. I never had much luck with streaming material due to the sporadic Internet connections at our home. My son explained that once we had switched to cable Internet, we had increased our broadband capabilities and now we could easily watch NFL online if we wished. He said he would be glad to set it up for me. I could use a third-party software package or perhaps the software that came with my operating system. I told him to go at it and see what he could do. He spent about twenty minutes doing some stuff to the computer and then low and behold, I could watch NFL online. The best part was that his mother would be able to watch stuff online too. Now I thought I kept up with changes in technology but apparently, I had missed this because of my earlier bad experiences with our Internet. I was happy to be able to watch NFL online but found that my wife had more things to watch than I did and she sometimes hogged our computer. I decided we needed a second PC in the house and now everyone is happy. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com |
