A New Way To Advertise

An important part of business is advertising. By implementing an effective advertising campaign, we may see a dramatic improvement in the sales of our product or services. Ads vary from television to radio to magazines to newspapers and the like.

Today different companies utilize different methods of marketing aimed at a large audience. Aside from these methods of advertising, certain companies have adopted new advertising methods utilizing technology that will meet the demand of ever-changing times. Since nearly everybody carries mobile phones, mobile promotions have become a very popular way to advertise. Through SMS or MMS messages or through GPS ads, companies utilizing mobile promotion have targeted a large number of customers. Add that to the fact we take our mobile phones everywhere we go, and we have a mobile phone advertising campaign that is both wide ranged and personal to the phone’s owner.

There may be many different ways of promoting our products or services through mobile phones; however, the most popular method of mobile promotions is the use of SMS or text message advertizing. This method of mobile phone advertising is popular because no matter what type of mobile phone you have, it comes with a text messaging feature. Text messaging is a basic feature in any mobile phone.

A variation of the SMS type of mobile promotion method is the MMS ad, wherein picture ads can be sent to our phones instead of just simple text messages. But since not all phones have an MMS feature, SMS message ads will still be the most popular type of mobile phone advertising.

Other notable mobile promotion methods are Bluetooth ads and infrared ads. And in the not so distant future, we may even witness video clip advertising, since many of the phones may be loaded with a video feature. And with mobile broadband becoming widespread, the internet may even be used to send mobile promotions to our WiFi enabled phones. Nowadays, since many people use their mobile phones for navigation, the possibility of GPS targeted ads becomes a very likely possibility. Though mobile phone advertising is a new form of advertising, this early, it looks like it will be here for a very long time. The possibilities are endless for mobile phone advertising.
