A Quick And Dirty Isk Guide For Eve Revelations Ii
I have played EVE Online since launch and just recently reactivated my account after 6 months of absence. I found myself strapped for isk and had to figure out some ways of making a big load of it in a relative quick pace. My goal is around 10B isk so I can afford owning a Dreadnaught. Now, I know this is a pretty big figure and it will probably take some time to reach. So, with 5M isk to my name and no equipment (I gave everything to my corp when I left Eve) here are some of the methods I used for gaining a bigger wallet. Market Play Time investment: The beginning phase requires a lot of time. Recommended wallet size: At least 10M isk. Risk: Little (if you play your cards right) Reward: Big Description: Well then, let's do some trading of items. First of all, we only use man made modules no NPC trade goods. First let's to the dirty work. Get a pen and some papers, grab a shuttle and make sure you are ready for one hell of a trip around the universe. Set your autopilot to these destinations: Sobaseki, Jita, Amarr, Agil, Oursualert, Lustrevik, Hek. Turn that autopilot on and start writing down 10-15 module names on a paper. We need popular modules that sell at 1M+ per unit on average. For example, Gyrostablizer II, Large Armor Repairer II. Are we there yet? By reaching our first destination you should have a paper filled with modules. Open up your market window and start checking the prices (and quantities) for each and everyone of them. Note them on your paper. Also check market fluctuations about that particular module, maybe someone else is already jacking up the price. When you have checked all modules, turn the autopilot on and head for you next destination. Rinse and repeat. ....This took some time huh? Well, it was worth it, believe me. Take a look at your paper, a lot of figures there I guess. Start by looking at module one. Is there maybe a region or two that sell these above the average? Maybe there is also a couple of places where you can find the module at a price below average? Note the price difference down and check the other modules at the same way. There should now be a lot of nice deals on you paper, try looking for ones where you can sell the modules in Jita and gain profit. Ideally you want a profit margin at at least 300k per unit. Buy the modules with the highest profit margin, buy a lot of them. Ship them to the most attractive system and start selling at a little below the highest price there. Be ready to monitor your orders and undercut under cutters. Isk will now start hitting you wallet... After you have done this for a while you can start escalating your trading business. For example, get a freighter, buy tons of stuff, think big! Lazy Market Play Time investment: Very little Recommended wallet size: At least 50M isk. Risk: Medium Reward: Medium Description: Get your behind to Jita, place a buy order for Morphite (ok profit margin) at one 1 isk above the highest order. Use as much isk as you can. Monitor your order and undercut undercutters. When you have filled your order, place a sell order at 1 isk below the lowest order. Profit will now come your way. Lazy but works, watch out for market fluctuations though. Don't stockpile! Sightseeing Time investment: A lot Recommended wallet size: 0 Risk: Medium to High Reward: Low to medium Description: Basically, go hunt named rats in empire space. Boring as hell if you ask me, but you can get some really nice modules if you are lucky. Also, bring a salvager! Shady Business Time investment: Very little Recommended wallet size: 5M (you need this for contract fees) Risk: Very high Reward: Very high Description: This method is shady and not very nice I know, but it does work occasionally. This is what you do. Buy yourself a couple of megacytes. Fly to Sobaseki, Jita, Amarr, Agil, Oursualert, Lustrevik, Hek. In each of these systems you will be placing one scam auction. Make a contract with 1 Megacyte in it, describe it as 30000 x Megacyte. Pick a realistic but cheap price, set it to 6 days. No one will likely buy your auction but there are moments when people doesnt think twice and you auction might just get sold. Easy isk, not fair play though...And yes I have tried this and succeeded. Not doing it again though, does not feel ok. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com Fredrik has a Master's Degree in Social Science and works as a PHP programmer.
