Workaholics are more prone to being affected by stress than the others since they spend longer hours working in stressful conditions. This is a vicious circle because stress will lead to less productivity and output, which in turn might result in discontent and restlessness causing more stress and the circle goes on. Stress management doesn’t require a special place or time to be implemented; it can be practiced anywhere, anytime – at your home, at work, even in the car, or when you are cooking or out for a walk. The trick is to sneak some relaxing activities in regular intervals into your schedule. They don’t need to be long and time consuming; only a few minutes of de-stressing can work wonders.

Relaxation is the vital step for successful management. Having a relaxed mind will result in a clear and more focused mind. This makes handling the problems easier since you can think with a straight mind and see things with a clear head. Breathing exercises, light meditation or even a walk in the fresh air for a few minutes can help you to loosen up. You have to try and stop thinking incessantly about the problem. Take a break and then start afresh.

Yoga and meditation have been proven to be great tools for relaxing. The best thing about this is you need not spend a lot on it. If you have no prior knowledge you can simply learn it from self-help books or the internet in your free time.

Tip # 3: Pamper yourself

Use your free time wisely. Pampering yourself in a spa is an excellent and sure way to relax. Even if you don’t get a full-body extensive spa treatment, a simple massage, the sauna, aroma therapy or even a simple hot bath with relaxing salts can do wonders. The outcome is that you feel relaxed, rested and fresh. Ready to face your problems.
