Mugs come in different shapes and sizes. My mother loves the mugs that are like an inverted triangle, wider at the top and narrower at the base. She prefers porcelain mugs. I like wide mugs, with big handles on - I have big hands - but I do love a porcelain mug, too. Mugs are often used to promote different items. I think the reason they are attractive though, is because there is nothing like getting a warm mug of your favorite beverage and putting your hands round it, warming your insides and your outsides at the same time. The first thing to consider is how you intend to use your mug. Are you replacing a porcelain cup in your house that only gets used on Sunday mornings? If you are in the majority, you need an insulated mug that can withstand travel. Whether it's to work, the gym, park or to grandma's house, it will be used on the go. With that in mind you want to consider the size of your cup holder in your car. Make sure it will fit. There are many insulated coffee mugs out there that have a wide base and are made mainly for sitting on your desk. When we go outside on a cold winter's day it is nice to have a hot drink with us. Insulated coffee mugs are great for this purpose. There are insulated mugs in all shapes and sizes, some that will clip on your belt even so that you can go and do outdoor work. An insulated mug is great for gardening, it is so nice to stop and have a drop of hot drink when the weather gets chilly. Taking the children out, or even the dogs, is a much happier prospect if you have a mug of hot drink, be it tea or coffee. They can run about and do their thing and you can drink your brew.
