Even if a woman is emotionally and physically able to bear and raise a child, if she does not have the resources to give to the child, it can end up for the worse. If you do not have the money to buy prenatal vitamins, your child might not grow as healthy as he or she should. She can become malnourished or have birth defects. Just the stress of not having enough money to support the unborn child can cause stress on the baby as well.

The last of the three major reasons is single parenthood. Most of the women who get pregnant are not yet married or does not even live with their partners yet. If these women are just starting to support themselves, they might not take the burden of supporting another person. Support is a big part of parenting and even of pregnancy.
