Abundant Living The Christian Way...
don't get the idea that this article is about money. It's not. It's about the abundant life. We do, unfortunately, need money in order to get through this world, but even more so, we need the freedom that we were promised through Jesus. Interestingly, the two go hand in hand! The Bible clearly teaches that if a man doesn't work, he shouldn't expect to eat. When God created Adam, it was to work the ground in the Garden of Eden. Likewise, we too, are expected to work. The thing is, that generally speaking, we do it backwards from the way God intended it to be! We get too wrapped up in "earning a living" as opposed to doing the work we were created to do! The byproducts of that are that we ignore our children, our spouses and often our own needs and desires. We get so run down from being slaves to the systems we follow, that we give up everything else! All in pursuit of money... God has never asked us to earn anything! We can't earn salvation...it's a gift! We can't earn healing...it, too, is a gift. Yet we are under the misconception that we have to earn a living! In truth, all we really have to do is work...and God will provide the rest. What kind of work are you to do? I don't know. I can only tell you what He put me, personally, here to do. What gifts did He give you? What passions? When you find those, you'll likely find the work He has given you to do! There are people in this world that love running their fingers through someone else's hair...but instead of being a hair-stylist, they work in a factory. There are those that love to tinker with engines, but for whatever reason, they end up crunching numbers all day behind a desk. There are those that would give anything to plow a chunk of land to raise crops...but instead.... Why? How did we get so misguided? Do yourself a favor and visit my website.
