Acciona Infrastructure In Australia

The Spanish company Acciona has formed an alliance with United Utilities, Brookfield and RBS (called Helena Waters Consortium), with the aim of creating a new infrastructure in Australia (Perth area to the west). In particular, it is the water treatment plant Mundaring drinking. This award came on June 22, 2010, and was appointed by the Water Corporation.

The project budget amounts to $ 300 million, and is the first project that combines public-private funding (Public Private Partnership) in the area of Australia.

The technical characteristics of the water plant capacity will be 165 to 240 million liters of water a day, and will supply the northern city of Perth and the Goldfields region. The plant will be adjusting their production according to the population.

It isn’t the first project of the company Acciona in Australia, as they are present in the south of the country on a project to desalinate seawater. The role of Acciona project plays in control of energy and infrastructures.

Acciona's presence in Australia is completed with operations in renewable energy, specifically wind power, either operating or under construction. Finally deals with the construction and maintenance of a tunnel in Brisbane.
