Acer H243h Bmid Monitor Review - You Have To Read This Before You Buy
The monitor itself comes in the now customary piano gloss black, and coupled with the stand, looks very appealing. From the side, it appears nice and sleek, and the stand itself appears to be solid and certain to support the 7.5kg that this elegant piece of hardware weighs. Around the back is where the connections are, giving you the choice of HDMI, DVI (HDCP) and VGA. There is also the audio input for the integrated speakers too, should you really need them. Setting up this monitor is pretty simple, with a fully explanatory OSD with a heap of presets and the manual setup option, which is handy for those that like to fine tune things for individual purposes. As far as performance goes, the Acer H243H bmid is completely at ease with handling blacks and detail seamlessly in movies, smooth and vibrant graphics with no smearing for hard core game play and fantastic as a PC monitor, even when used as a split screen, fonts still appeared crisp and images well defined. There are cheaper monitors of this size available, but I think you will not find this quality if you were to go elsewhere. Nice going Acer.
