Do not be in too much of a hurry for your new acne medicine too work. You should not be discouraged if you do not see results as quickly as you expect. It will typically take up to eight weeks before you see much of a difference in your acne condition. This is quite normal. In fact, if you are looking to beat out your acne completely it can take six months or so to rid yourself of acne.

Keep using your acne medication until your doctor tells you otherwise (or take the medicine for the length of time instructed by your doctor). If you stop taking your medicine because your face is all cleared up, you might find that your acne returns if you stop the medicine without being instructed to do so by your doctor.
