The whole of internet is flooded with advertisements on Affiliate Networks and affiliate marketing. Some are in need of merchants where as others are looking for buyers. What is the fuss all about? Some time back even I was quite confused and disturbed by this affiliate marketing business, dint really understand the concept of who is who and how can they help me.

Thanks to the upcoming concept of video conferencing and a little to my curiosity that brought me to this small video enactment that I had watched on affiliate program. The skit was enacted by a bunch of few young affiliates who wanted to promote their affiliate marketing program. Th skit had no other purpose but just to explain what Affiliate Marketing actually meant.


Affiliate marketing in simple terms is a business process, where one party acts as a commissioned salesman on behalf of another man who has a product which they wish to promote through you on the internet. This is the generic definition of Affiliate Marketing.

In simpler words, affiliate marketing means the the involvement of a middleman or third party which is better known as the affiliate network who will be responsible for connecting your products to the publisher's website or vice-versa in order to take out most of the profit to both the parties. And amidst all of this, the middleman or the affiliate network shares a little bit of the profit as a part of its commission.

Affiliate marketing is considered to be a great means to develop Online marketing businesses. People who understand the concept have made great profits out of this business. Many Online marketers have realized the benefit of the medium, and have adopted affiliate marketing as a reliable source to their business. On the other hand there are few others too, who are doing affiliate marketing but are not so successful in their ventures. This is for the simple reason that they do not understand the concept right and sometimes also because they do not really take Affiliate Marketing as serious business. Affiliate Marketing is definitely a serious business. But before venturing into it you must have a lesson on affiliate marketing to clear out your confusions and get your basics right.
