This is so because you are promoting products and services, costs of product research and development and other overhead costs are all funded by your affiliate merchant. All you need to focus on is to drive sales and you will be able to earn commission.

The other reason why affiliate marketing is profitable is the high commission you can earn. The commission offered by merchants can be as high as 75 percent, with average commission around 50 percent. As such, there is no need to spend time and resources sourcing and developing your own product to sell, when you already can make such high commission as an affiliate marketer.

For example, if you choose an affiliate merchant which sells products at $100 each and pays 50 percent commission, if you can sell two products per day for this merchant online from affiliate marketing, you earn three thousand per month already. If you promote in total , five affiliate merchant products, you make a handsome monthly income of $15,000 per month.
