Affiliate marketing is a wonderful arena to start in if you are new to the online industry and don't have a lot to invest in a business. I decided to try my hand at affiliate marketing to see if it was as easy as people claimed it to be. Now I would like to share with you my affiliate marketing experience and what I've learned.
The first thing I did was go to Clickbank to take a look at the products so I could decide what I wanted to promote. Knowing nothing about affiliate marketing but a lot about sales since that was the business my father had been in, I knew how important it was to choose a product that I believed in, had purchased and tried and it had proven to work for me. While I was looking over the products they offered, I came across one that taught affiliate marketing. I reviewed that eBook, purchased it and started implementing what it taught.
This course explains everything you should do each and every day. Here are just the basics of what I do each day of the week:
Day one:
Choose a product based on keyword research and create titles for the campaigns.
Day two:
Start writing the campaigns, post them online and get them indexed.
Day three:
Make sure the campaigns have been indexed and the search engine is picking them up. Check a few other sites to make sure the information is getting recognized. Start writing an article.
Day four:
Recheck your work to make sure it's being picked up if it hadn't the previous day and finish the article if necessary.
Day five:
Create a blog.
Day six:
Get your blog indexed.
Day seven:
Make sure everything is live, is being recognized by the search engines, check the stats and finish anything that needs completing.
Those are all the basics for my action plan for the week and it's great when you actually have a step by step plan to follow. The most amazing thing is that I made my first sale on just my third day. My campaigns had just been up and running late the day before so I was just floored by my results. Then again on day five I made my second sale so I was just so excited to see my work paying off. I have not quite been doing affiliate marketing for three months now and I've almost made $500.
My affiliate marketing experience has been amazing because I am seeing the results from my work. Consistency is the key and not giving up. I'm aware that a lot of people don't make any money with affiliate marketing but that could be from not having the right information in order to learn what to do or not doing the work needed in order to be able to bring in sales. Whatever the case may be, don't give up because it is possible to make money as an affiliate marketer. I am living proof and I know it will just get better with time.
