Driving targeted traffic to your affiliate link will requires you to put in the time, effort and money. You will always want to make sure that you are getting the most leverage from the traffic that you have send to the merchant’s website. The first question that you will have to ask yourself is whether the merchant website is sticky enough?
Before you even drive traffic to your affiliate link, you will to make sure that you check through the merchant’s sales letter. You will want to make sure that there is no external link on the sales letter that will disrupt the sales process. There should be only one link and it should be your order link.
If the merchant put too many external links on his website, the visitors that referred might get distracted and leave the website. This will mean that you will not be able to earn any commission as the visitors do not stay on your affiliate link. Do check through the testimonials section as some merchant will make the link to be active.
You should only have one objective when you drive traffic to your affiliate link and that is to get them to purchase the products that you have recommended. The full sales process is important and it is important not to disrupt it. If your visitors do stay on the website and read through the sales letter, there will be a much higher chances that the visitors might become a paying customer. So do check the merchant’s sales letter before you do any promotion.
