Affiliate Marketing Survival Skill: Checking The Merchant’s Support And Contact

It is true that you do not have to do any customer supports if the customer purchased the product from the merchant and the merchant should be in charge of giving the support. You will be thinking that your role is to just continue referring customers to the merchant’s website so that you will be credited with the commission if the customer purchases the product. Do you know that your business will be affected by the responsiveness of the merchant’s customer support?

You must not forget that you are the affiliate that refers your customer to the merchant’s website. Your credibility in the business will be badly affected if the merchant’s support team does not give good support. The customers might not trust you and you will not have the opportunity to promote more products to them. This will seriously affect your profits and you will not have a long term business.

The best thing that you should do before you promote any product is to try contacting the merchant and check how fast they response to your email. If their response is good and fast, you will be sure that your customer will be able to get support if they ever face any problems. This will boost up your credibility as the customer will know that you are interested in recommending good products to them.

If you are willing to put in the extra work to take care of your customers, the customers will also take care of you in the form of purchasing your recommended affiliate product. Do put in the extra effort to help your customer and you will be richly rewarded.
