Welcome back to my series of articles on affiliate marketing. In Part 1 we talked about the kind of money that can be made with affiliate marketing. In Part 2 we discussed what it takes to get started and choosing your product. In the last of this series of articles, we will talk about how to get those campaigns going and how to stay on track.
With affiliate marketing, it's not about selling. Yep, you are probably scratching your head about now saying to yourself, "well we are selling other people's products, right"? Yes, that's correct but this industry is no longer about selling. Ask yourself this question. If you are online and you go to the search engines trying to find a solution to your problem, would you prefer reading about what the product has to offer and their benefits or would you rather have someone just blatantly try to convince you to purchase their product without sharing with you what it can do for you?
Most people do not like to be sold. The purpose of your campaigns are to pre-sell your target audience by providing them information about the benefits your product has to offer. If you are promoting diet products, talk about how this product has helped others and made them feel. Maybe it boosted their energy or suppressed their appetites. Don't try to convince them that your product is the greatest thing ever because they need to come to that conclusion on their own. But you need to provide them with information on how that product can help them. And above all else, it has to be true. Don't promote something that doesn't do what it says it will do. Remember, this is your reputation you are building on the internet so don't promote junk products.
The most important thing to having any kind of success online is consistency. Every day you need to do some sort of work in order to get your information online for people to see. Keep a log of your daily activities so you can look back on that to see what is working for you and what isn't. Don't waste your time on campaigns that are not pulling. If you are writing blog entries, but getting no results or traffic from your postings, stop. If you are getting more traffic from your articles, write more articles. Be sure you are doing what it takes every single day in order to get your information in front of your target audience.
I hope this series of articles have helped you understand a little more about what is involved with affiliate marketing and how you can get started. Be sure to get the right education so you can learn how to successfully build an affiliate marketing business. The rest is up to you. Only do the work that will bring you the most results. If you have the desire, dedication and faith to succeed, you will have success.
