Airsoft Sniper Rifle – What Firing System Should I Choose?

Once you cross the threshold onto a battlefield, being well armed is certainly the key to winning, and this is no different even on an Airsoft battlefield, but this is not the case for all Airsofters as there are those able to head straight into battle with their chosen weapon and come out as victors, but that’s not for every Airsofter, there are those who like to take the more reserved route to victory. Having the ability to set up a mile or so off the battlefield and take out your enemies one by one is a skill that is desired by scores of Airsofters. Now obviously in order to do this accurately you’ll going to require the correct equipment.

The correct equipment being an Airsoft sniper rifle this can either a valuable piece of battlefield equipment, or it can be quite the opposite. This all depends on what type/model of sniper rifle you buy, and you are spoilt for choice. The range of weapons on offer is awesome from the historical replicas, to modern day weapons that are used by armed forces today. With so many models to choose from, some really do look like the real deal with the look and style and more importantly the firing operating system you need to take in to consideration.

What Type of Firing Systems are there?

Spring: The spring type firing system does come with its drawbacks, one being the wear and tear, especially where the spring is concerned, and you don’t want this problem on the battlefield, maintenance is key. The good thing about this type is you won’t have to spend money on c02 cartridges or battery packs.

Gas: This type of weapon uses c02 cartridges, the bugbear with this is you will have to shell money out for replacement cartridges, which may not be a option with for some as this is an added and ongoing expense so choose wisely and budget when buying a weapon that uses this type of firing system.

Electric: Now this type of firing system is a favourite among the airsoft community, this being it’s a lot more efficient, and faster. Another great thing about this type is it can be recharged rather than thrown away. You will need a bigger budget for this type as it will cost you more from the start but this will be a saving in the future.

So its up to you to decide, not easy, the best advice i can give you when choosing to buy, go for a sniper rifle with electric firing system than the two options. The other thing you need to think about is what kind of Add-ons can install on your airsoft sniper rifle. You really need to have a high quality scope or even a laser sight, now watching someone and them realising there’s a red dot moving across their chest is priceless, and this without doubt enhance your chances greatly on the battlefield. As you probably worked out for yourself this isn’t going to be cheap, for a high class Airsoft sniper rifle your going to pay up to $500, this being said it will be well worth the money with the awesome firing performance out on the battlefield.
Having an airsoft sniper rifle can only be huge plus, so having the right one is so important as this could mean the difference between winning and losing the battle.
