All About Holiday Party Favors

The holidays are coming up, so you’re planning a party or huge family celebration, you need to get started ASAP. You will need to think about the invitations, dinner, beverages, decorations, gifts, favors, etc. Whether you want to celebrate Thanksgiving in style, Christmas, or both, you need to get plenty of supplies to fit the setting. Obviously, you will want to go with an autumn or winter theme, so you need to order supplies and decorations in the appropriate colors and designs.

One thing you don’t want to forget is the favors. Many people underestimate the importance of favors at holiday parties. They are more than just small gifts---they are a piece of the special celebration that your friends and family can take home with them. Thus, you will want to give them all something they can take with them as memories. Even if it’s something that is edible, you need to make sure the taste is something they’ll never forget!

Popular edible Thanksgiving favors include: chocolates wrapped in harvest color foil, popcorn balls, and pieces of pumpkin pie. If you don’t want to give out edible favors, items like pumpkin-scented candles, potpourri, and stationery with Thanksgiving or autumn designs will do the trick. You can also give the kids feathers or toy turkeys!

You’ll have even more choices for your Christmas party. The obvious edible choices include candy canes, cookies, and chocolate. There are tons of cute little favors, such as snowflake candles, mini-snow globes, silver bell card holders, custom mint tins, etc. If you can’t decide on just one favor, you can give out custom stockings filled with an assortment of little goodies.

How you present the favors to your guests is up to you. Most people choose to display them on the dinner table as part of the décor. If you are giving out personalized gifts or place cards, then you should set each next to each guest’s plate before the meal. If you want to give out mixed goodie Christmas stockings, hang them on the wall!
