All About Wind Power - Advantages And Disadvantages

Renewable energy market is growing every day. Our future is very closely affiliated with this relatively recent discovery. Renewable energy is coming from natural resources for example: wind, sunlight, geothermal heat, or tides. There are many advantages of this new technology as well as some disadvantages. Let's concentrate on wind power.

Advantages:
• Cost effective - Wind is free and as everyone knows it can't be traded anywhere.
• Very ecological- It does not produce any greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and methane.
• Renewable - As for now we don't expect wind to ever stop.
• Land beneath the tower can still be used for farming - it doesn't take up a lot of space.

Disadvantages
• Not always available - Sometimes there is no wind and buying some is not possible, so the cost effective advantages can be a disadvantage. It's close to impossible to predict wind with close to 100% accuracy.
• Most wind farms are near coasts (because of the amount of wind). - Higher land costs and some people think they destroy the beauty of such places.
• Can affect television and radio reception in close proximity.
• Wind turbines can be noisy and can kill birds

I believe renewable energy is the future. Wind source is a good one to use but it's not as effective in some areas. I also believe that our population should and will invest a lot more in the future years Wind power is the most ecological and in almost every turbine farm they are reliable.

With time more and more sources of energy will be discovered. A good example is a magnetic energy generator.
