All Clad Copper Core Cookware-it's Not Bad To The Bone! It Is Bad To The Core!
This is certainly modern-day alchemy at its finest! The alchemy begins while using heat conduction properties of copper that preserves heat for a very long time in addition to heats evenly and in return cools evenly as well. This and the benefits of the ease of cleaning of pure rolled 18/10 stainless-steel and not the lesser quality 18/8 of lesser brands of cookware make copper core unique! All Clad copper core utilizes a design of 5 ply bonding of metals. An outside of pure 18/10 rolled stainless steel with a layer of aluminum underneath that and then comes the copper core with its excellent heat conduction after which another layer of aluminum, finally accompanied by a final layer of pure 18/10 stainless. This stainless exterior is very effortless to wash and maintains its finish and barely if ever must be polished like so many lesser quality brands. It is strongly recommended to wash this cookware by hand to keep the stainless-steel luster, but me personally I have not had any issues using my dishwasher with them. This cookware line comes pre-loaded with stainless-steel stay cool handles and copper core is oven safe up to five hundred degrees. The stainless-steel exterior is great for searing foods and then deglazing to produce sauces as well as gravies! As with anything in this world there are always pros and cons. The pros of this cookware line are the fact that they're crafted from advanced grades metals with a patented bonding process that cannot be plagiarized. They are made in the good old USA which means American work opportunities are being supported in addition to an American market is being supported as well.Even heating by means of the heat conduction properties of the copper core itself. Simple care and cleaning and they are built to last a lifetime and come equipped with an outstanding manufacturers warranty against problems in craftsmanship. The cons are the fact that All Clad copper core cookware is somewhat on the heavy side, so if a person just isn't used to heavy cookware they are going to build some muscle using this line. (this is a pro in disguise as a con!) This line is a little on the expensive side and involves a commitment to owning the top! The only other con is that copper core is not a nonstick line, so I suggest to get some nonstick All Clad for making things like eggs, omelletes and crepes! For these kinds of tasks nothing can beat nonstick cookware.
