Alopecia Androgenetica
The exemplar of hair loss in women differs from male exemplar baldness. In women the hair becomes thinner all over the head and the hairline does not recede. Male pattern baldness is caused by a genetic predisposition of hair follicles to DHT which causes them to shrink when exposed to it.
