Beautiful Pointy peaks, covered with snow, hundreds of them. Nice powder snow, over 500 annualy! Great ski community with ski runs that range from the easiest to the most challenging anywhere. Where is this? It is at the Alta Ski Area, Utah.
Alta is only a half hour away from Salt Lake City, Utah. I have skied this place many times and loved it every time. The peaks around Alta give me adrenaline when I pop my boots in my skiis and look up at the beauty of it all.
Along with thousands of other people, I love hiking here in the summer to see the alpine life. But winter uphere is my favorite. I have taken so many photos here of all the peaks, and I keep taking more every time I go to Alta.
The ski area at Alta goes back to old times when World War II paratroopers used it for combat practice. It is also adjacent to the Snowbird Winter Resort. This whole area makes a great winter getaway. Those who live around Salt Lake City are very fortunate to have such Mountain Beauty, and great ski areas nearby.
If you have a choice where you can go this ski season, Alta is highly recommended from fans across North America. Have fun!
