Amateur Wedding Photo Tips And Wedding Photography Bedford

If you find yourself at a wedding in Bedford over the weekend there is a likelihood that the bride and groom, as well as having a professional wedding photographer, will leave disposable cameras scattered around the tables. This allows the people who have travelled to Bedford to create their own visual reportage of the day, for the happy couple. While these cheap little cameras are not going to turn you into a David Bailey with a few basic techniques you can leave the newly weds with some wonderful memories of their special day.

1. Look directly at the person you are taking a picture, put you on a level with them and get close enough so they fill the frame. To avoid having that eyes closed shot, ask them to close their eyes and then open them up and shout “cheese.”

2. Pay attention to the background, this can be difficult at weddings where there is always a lot of action, people milling around and movement going on but to get the best shot use a neutral or plain background is best. You do not want anything in the background that will detract from the subject.

3. Look at the composition of the picture, having everything uniform and even with the image in the centre doesn’t always give the best effect. Put your subject to one side and create a bit of tension and interest in the image.

4 Watch the light and use the flash; even outside a flash can soften shadows from direct sunlight. Make sure not take photos straight into the sun have it coming over your shoulder for the best results.

5. Turn the camera on its side and take the occasional vertical shot, especially if your subject is a long object or a tall person.

The main thing though is to remember to have fun and capture the excitement and enjoyment you experienced during the day.
