Americans Are Losing The Weight-loss Battle, But Why?

It seems were failing. “Obesity Rates Jump in 28 States, Report Shows”. We continue to see this type of information all the time and we know more about health and the human body than ever before in the history of mankind. So why? Is it because we just don’t care as individuals or as a society about our health and wellness or how we look, or is it because we’re lead down the wrong path by big business and the marketing ploys they use to get us to buy their products, most of which are not healthy for us anyways. So who should we blame ourselves, or the companies that manufacture the food we eat? As individuals we’re great at pointing the finger it’s much easier to blame someone else than take responsibility for our own actions.

The internet is a wealth of information ALL pointing us to better health and wellness. From weight–loss programs to reality shows aimed to help individuals who struggle with this current crises in America today. Yet we remain the largest nation on the planet with an obesity rated of over 68% and growing. I’m not the smartest person on the plant, and as a representative of the health and wellness industry it seems to me that our message is failing. So what needs to be done?

Three things need to change for this crisis to end.

1. We need to say NO to the companies in America today that continue to poison our food and our drinks with fat and sugar content that are off the charts. We need to let “Fast Food America” now, wait, “NOT SO FAST” with that food. We want more than a fat fix that will send our blood sugar into the basement thirty minutes after we finish eating it and we don’t need it “Super Sized”. We need food that delivers solid nutrition that’s packed with energy that will fuel our bodies for the busy lifestyles we lead. PERIOD! If you can’t deliver that, then I don’t want or need it.

2. We need to change our DMO “Daily Method of Operation” I don’t really care how busy you are or what excuses you have. In fact, don’t what to hear them. Get up get off the couch and move. I don’t care if you have to do it at 2:00 AM in the morning while your six kids are asleep. Like Nike says, JUST DO IT! Walk the dog, ride a bike, run a marathon, but do it daily and don’t stop. Could you imagine waking up the dog to take him for a walk at the hour, he would think you’re nuts, and after the second week, he’d be waiting by the door and anxious to go. CHANGE IS GOOD, it isn’t always easy but you need to lead the way, the dog and others will follow.
3. In a recent study conducted by the AMA in 2009. NOT ONE individual in 26 thousand received the RDA of vitamins and minerals. NOT ONE! Here is their statement, not mine.

So if you’re not taking vitamins and supplements today, do so. FILLING IN THE GAPS IN YOUR NUTRITION will make all the difference in the world and you will actually lose weight by doing so guaranteed. You need to understand this and hear me clearly, not all vitamins are created equal. They need to be made from the best ingredients and meet pharmaceutical grade standards, if they’re not, don’t waste your money. HINT, anything you buy over the counter or at a vitamin shop doesn’t qualify, these people have shareholders to answer too, and they could care less about quality.

For me, I use and recommend Advocare Nutrition, it’s what professional athletes use. There products have given me the ability to cut 40lbs, extend my workouts to two hours at a time all at the young age of 52, and I can still bench press 225 lbs, and do 45 min of cardio without a problem. If you’re not interested in these products that’s fine I really don’t care, no skin off my noise. But you better find some that are top notch and take them every day and never stop. You’ll never be able to get all the vitamins and minerals you need from your food, ESPECIALLY TODAY, anywhere in America. Just walk the grocery aisles and look at all the process crap we eat. It’s appalling.

I can tell you one thing for sure, if you don’t combine all of the three things I have talked about here today you’ll be in the same place and in the same category as 68% of America today, overweight or obese. It’s a fact! If you what change, you need to make it happen. Nobody is going to do it for you. Remember, don’t be a finger pointer that’s the cheap and easy way out. You need to do it for yourself.

Let me leave you with this little science fact. If you were to take just one living cell from your body (or all of them) and put it into a petre dish and feed that / those cells the proper nutrition daily how long do you think it would live? Here’s the answer, 130 years. That’s correct 130 years when feed the proper nutrition daily. That’s how long the human body was designed to last.

Doesn’t seem where anywhere close to that now does it. Combine the three I talked about above and I can GAUARANTEE that you’ll see results. If you don’t, welcome to the 68% overweight and obese club the choice is yours and yours alone.
