Anonymous Vpn And Ip Addresses
Granted, it's just one way that the anonymous VPN service is being employed. But let's take a look at what this actually is for a moment. VPN stands for virtual private network, and it basically means that you can log into the network, and then log out through there. What does this do? Well, it can give you another IP address from which to surf the web by. Okay, so now we need to back up a minute, because we've mentioned IP address three times now, and haven't explained what all that is really. The best and fastest way to really come to terms with what an IP address conceptually is, is to think of a phone number. Basically, an IP address is a phone number, and there's a sort of tree diagram of a hierarchy going on with the kinds of phone numbers that are distributed about the web. Basically, what happens is that internet service providers have their original stack of IP addresses, and then from there, they sell their own IP addresses to customers that want to access the internet through them. And based on particular IP addresses, these music service providers on the web can tell from what country you're accessing their website from. And so, it's readily apparent how a VPN service could easily come into play then. Remember what a fast VPN service does; it basically gives you access to the network; thus the term, "virtual private network." You've got switches and routers and such, and what that means is that, eventually, if you get back out to the web, through this fast VPN, you can get to websites, and these websites will see the best VPN services IP address instead of your actual IP address from your ISP or internet service provider. This is what's referring to as setting up an anonymous surfing situation. Now, there are other ways to set up anonymous surfing environments, without the use of a VPN service, but that usually involves employing some sort of IP address blocker, at which point, a scanner from a web server will see no IP address at all, and sometimes, that's just as bad or even worse than logging in from a disallowed country.
