Another Fad Diet? The 'blood Type' Diet
D'Admo suggested that people could benefit from eating foods that were according to their blood types. He writes that different blood types come from different human blood groups, as humans evolved throughout thousands of years. Blood type O is suppose to represent the hunter, recommending higher protein in their diet. Blood type A is the cultivator, recommending mostly vegetables and free of red meat (more vegetarian diet). Blood type B is suppose to be the nomad, who are the only ones who can eat a lot of diary products. And blood type AB is the most recent evolved blood type, and is a mix between A and B diets. This diet plan met with some opposition from Type O vegetarians and Type A meat eaters, in particular. This diet works best by following your recommended food based upon your blood type, the use of herbs and regular exercise. Blood types A and AB should do yoga, brisk walking, and swimming. Types O and B benefit more from vigorous exercises, such as aerobics, martial arts, jogging and cycling. However, yoga is good for all four blood types. There are also said to be no clinical trails of the Blood Type Diet. D'Adamo, in his book 'Ear Right 4 Your Type" talks about a cancer trial, but results of this trail don't appear to of been published. He also mentioned another trial in another book, but again, the trial doesn't appear to of been published. A self-reported Internet survey was done on D'Adam's website. But no references are given to how this information was gathered. And again, it was 'self reported'.
