Another Great Reason To Use Ebay Instead Of Other Online Stores Part 3

In this third part to this article series I would like to bring to the front view something rarely emphasised when discussing eBay - The Unique Products and Content on offer.
On eBay buyers are given the chance to be different in what they buy and sellers are given the chance to be different and unique in what they sell.

An example of this situation is one I can find not too far away and not too long ago as it happened to me.
My two sons aged 8 and 6 are into video-games, they had shown signs even when they were babies that they would grow up to be a gamer like their dad. So on one occasion my first son told me he wanted a Playstation 3 for his 8th birthday. Now I could easily get him that - all it'll take is a drive to Argos and back, but he specifically wanted a white coloured; one to go with his birthday cake which he also wanted in white. And if you has the slightest gaming knowledge you would know two things:-

- The PS3 is only available in black in Europe
- My son had almost set me on an almost impossible task.

Now if I wasn't so inclined to eBay I would be stuck in a rut at this position, but as I am inclined I searched on eBay and wasn't to be disappointed. I found the perfect listing and to my satisfaction it was from China and from an Ebayer I had previously dealt with before. This Ebayer was one I had stored under my favourite sellers and so I was well in trust that my money will once again be safe in his hands.

This story is relative to my initial point - that is buyers are free to buy unique products, in buying that white PS3 I made myself one of the few thousands to own one of that colour in Europe. And in my book that is unique. And sellers are free to sell unique products as you can see from the Chinese seller.

And by the way my son found it 'cool' that all the instructions were written in Chinese and then translated below into English.

To conclude this part I would like to add that eBay is another step above online and retail stores because you are able to be unique. You are free to design something, be it a carving out of stone, a clay model, a set of interesting foreign origami artifacts or any other unique produce and sell it on eBay.
