Another Great Reason To Use Ebay Instead Of Other Online Stores Part 4
In part four of my article series I am going to bring to the plate as a reason something that is not recognised but highly realised.
It is what all Internet Marketers and eBay Powersellers thrive on, it is the only reason people can sell things in the first place, it is the most valuable thing a website or business can have.
It is Traffic. And good volumes of traffic.
This is one trait of eBay that is extremely useful to the seller but also very slightly useful to the buyer. When a seller puts up a listing - They put it up for the purpose of making money, and because eBay receives volumes and volumes of traffic as well as receives many new members each day, their is no shortage in customers and there is always someone looking for what you have on offer.
This is again even more useful to sellers because, no matter how new you are to eBay you can always get traffic to your listing, all it takes is a basic knowledge of how the eBay search tool works.
In one instance I was tasked by a friend to help sell an old but very helpful book of his, it was a medical book, now I felt that it was pointless as I only sold electronics and DVDs - and as you would expect though that was all that sold on eBay. I was wrong. Within a few hours of putting up the book, I received 2 bids; and by the end of the day had received a total of 8 bids. I was surprised, but also mystified at the useful traffic one could receive when selling on eBay.
But saying this, the amazing volumes of traffic eBay receives which is dispersed over their many listings is also helpful to the seller because if sellers where not receiving enough traffic for their goods they would close up and stop selling. This in the long run will start to affect the eBay buyers on the site.
And That is why traffic is another great reason to use eBay both for the seller and the buyer.
