Anxiety Busters - 3 Tips For Preventing Anxiety

Anxiety is a face of fear that completely interrupts your life. Due to the nature of anxiety, it doesn't allow you to function at your best. Over 18% of Americans experience anxiety troubles and many require the help of a professional. Regardless to if you need a professional's help or not, there are practical things that can be done to combat anxiety and panic. I like to refer to these as anxiety busters:

Anxiety Buster #1 - Preparation is Key

Anxiety is often the result of a lack of preparation for the events in your life such as an upcoming meeting, appointment test, presentation or other event. Being prepared for potentially stress inducing events lessens your chances of feeling anxious.

Anxiety Buster #2 - An Attitude Change

If you expect to fail, you more than likely will. Purpose in advance that regardless of any outcome in your life, failure is not an option. When things don't go as planned, do not perceive you've failed. Change your attitude and look at the results as an opportunity to improve. Taking the pressure off will help reduce your anxiety level.

Anxiety Buster #3 - Practice Relaxing Techniques

The first two anxiety busters help prevent anxiety while practicing relaxing techniques helps to combat an anxiety attack. Actively encouraging your body to relax helps to prevent an anxiety attack.

Anxiety or fear mustn't rule your life. Prevent or combat anxiety immediately with the anxiety busters I just shared: Preparation, An Attitude Change and Relaxing Techniques
