Nowadays, the number of breast cancer are increasing and with the new technology advancement, it has save many life. In the past, maybe just only one or two options but now with the new technology, the treatment can be more choices and it depends on what kind of cancer for the patients. These options such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and etc which is the additional treatment if compared with past few years.

Why the treatment able to lesser the painful of the patient?

1. Surgery: Normally surgery is the first line against the breast cancer but the decisions is still with the doctor because the doctor will determine what kind of surgery is suitable for the patients. There are different types of surgeries such as Mastectomy and Lumpectomy. Mastectomy is removal of all the breast tissue and Lumpectomy is remove the tumour and some of the tissue surrounding.

2. Radiation therapy: One of the highly effective technology which destroy the cancer cells in breast after the surgery. Although many people fear about radiation but it can reduce the risk of breast cancer recurrence by about 70% and it is easy and the side effects for this is only limited to the treated area.

3. Chemotherapy: It is also known as systemic therapy which means affects the whole body by going through the bloodstream. The purpose of this treatment is to get rid of the cells which maybe will spread to another part of the body. Chemotherapy is effective because the drug will interfere with the rapidly dividing cells.

It is important that the treatment for the patients is different and normally doctor and nurses will keep track for the side effects after the treatment and provide the support to improve the emotional health.
