It's finally here, both sleek and promising the new Apple iPhone v2.0 (if you will) has finally hit stores. Of course, this cell phone is nothing short of impossible to get your hands on. According to the Apple web site,
your local store should have the Apple iPhone in stock ... lol ... really guys? I was on my way to South Carolina for a business meeting. On the way there, my friend and myself stopped at EVERY single Apple store we came across. The poor guy had to settle for ordering a copy and waiting two weeks to recieve it. Let me state this. I have never been a fan of Apple, until now.
The first iPhone offered a touch screen which I suppose is a neat piece of work, an internet that's about as fast as a dead cat, and I could keep going. Of course, the original iPhone did offer some neat features ... I suppose. Okay okay, I'm back on topic. Let's chat about the new and improved iPhone for a bit.
Question, Should we call this thing a smartphone or a computer? I am officially impressed with Apple. Congratulations guys! What won me over? Let's begin...
1.) 3G Internet Connection! first and foremost, I am a Web Designer, so I having an internet that is fast around at all times is incredibly helpful. This thing has gone from a dead cat to roadrunner. It's crazy fast!
2.) This smartphone is the EASIEST phone i've ever dealt with when hooking up to an Exchange Server. Before now, the original iPhone wasn't interested in having anything to do with Microsoft, but now! oh yes! If you're a lawyer, go, right now and buy one of these gadgets. You're IT guy will thank you. I promise!
3.) The new iPhone is nothing short of sexy. The original was attractive, of course, but new iPhone brings a somewhat thinner, bigger screen, and a black or white back that I could stare at all day long. It screams professional.
4.) You can download music onto your iPhone ... Are you kidding me!? You'll need to get rid of the EDGE and go to WiFi to experience it. w00t!
5.) MP3 Player. What's stunning about an MP3? All phones have them now ah' days. Yeah yeah, but does your music player have an amazing interface with the unique integration of multitouch? nope! ... get an iPhone.
6.) 8GB or 16GB? Apple ... lol, really guys? That's just flat out amazing. I know computers that are still around that don't have 16GB in them. *applause* My heart tingles right now.
I'm stopping at 6 reasons. How come? Because those are the top reasons why I have changed my thought towards the Apple iPhone. I can say this, it might as well be called a computer phone. There is no such thing as inconvienence when you own an iPhone in my opinion. Google Maps, YouTube ... name it, this piece of work has it. Yeah, the old one did also, but seriously ... the 3G makes it all seem like heaven. I've listed a few reasons, if you aren't pumped about this PDA/Smartphone/Computer/Car/Gadget/Home ... okay, so i'm exaggerating a little bit. Be excited about this phone, it's by the far, the best i've seen. And it's extremely cheap for everything that if offers in my opinion.
I give it a 7 million and 5 out of 10.
