A boat can offer many hours of pleasure to its owners and their friends. Boats get you away from the office and out on the water. A boat can take you to an exotic new area for fishing, swimming or water skiing. Owners of smaller boats often take little regard for boat storage. At the end of the day, they simply load their boat back onto the trailer where it is pulled to the back yard or garage for storage. If you own a larger boat, storage is not as simple and you may have to choose between wet storage or dry boat storage marinas.
Wet storage marinas offer many advantages. The best is that your boat is always ready to launch out into the open water. Wet storage marinas may also give you access to electrical power so that a battery keeper can be plugged in and batteries are always at the optimal charge. Some wet storage marinas offer enclosed storage for your boat to protect it from the sun and other elements, however most offer only open-air storage.
At dry boat storage-marinas, you will also find many advantages. The boat is stored outside of the water and inside out of the elements. This can cause your boat to retain the showroom look for many years. This is perhaps the greatest advantage of dry storage of your boat.

In other words, you cannot just drive down to the marina and hop into your boat anytime you wish to. Once the boat is launched it will need to be brought back to a dock to pick up passengers, supplies and luggage.
