Are You Engaged In The Pursuit Of Happiness? Well Relax; It Is Time To Stop The Pursuit.
Stop looking; you already have the key to manifesting authentic happiness. You simply forgot where it is. It is absolutely no use trying to find happiness while you are being unhappy. You are here, on this Earth, to have fun and you do this by discovering what authentic happiness is for you. If you’re becoming more stressed while engaging in the pursuit of happiness, it’s time to change your tactics. The fact is; you cannot find your answer to the question “What will bring authentic happiness to me?” until you make a pact with yourself to get to know and listen to the wise personal life coach within you. Let’s begin by exploring two questions, “What is Authentic Happiness?” and “What does Authentic Happiness mean to you? What is Authentic Happiness? While talking to many people and asking this question they may answer it in various and colorful ways. People also do a wide variety of activities in their personal pursuit of happiness. Some may jump off cliffs and free fly; others read a book; others might party while others lie in a hammock. While you might find happiness while doing these activities, the feeling of happiness usually doesn’t have a long-term effect. Authentic Happiness is actually a state of being; “I am being happy”. The way you choose to be happy effects your emotions and feelings which cause your moods. If “being happy” is dependent upon other people making you feel happy then you are not creating authentic happiness that belongs to you. Your happiness will always be at the mercy of others goodwill towards you. Likewise, if you believe that the world or your environment is responsible for your happiness then you will experience much disappointment and judge your world harshly. This is not a great formula for showing you how to achieve happiness. Authentic Happiness is long lasting and fills you with positive emotions like peace, love and contentment. When you are the one who manifests your own happiness through the way you think and feel about yourself you create genuine feelings of pleasure and joy within you and this is the essence of sustained Authentic Happiness. When I ask my clients how they really want to be, they invariably answer, “I just want to be happy”. Therefore it is no wonder that our psychologists, sociologists, life coaches and alternate healers refer to authentic happiness as the ultimate state of being. Psychologist, Ed Diener, who wrote, Guideline for National Indicator of Well-Being said, "Throughout history philosophers considered happiness to be the highest good and ultimate motivation for human action." What does Authentic Happiness mean to you? A simple authentic happiness test. Draw a scale 0 to 10 and mark your authentic happiness level on it with 0 being rock bottom and 10 being the best. 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 This scale can be used as a great tool to check where you are at any time in your pursuit of happiness.
