Are You Motivated To Lose Weight By Your Weight Loss Goal?

The basic principle of motivational weight loss is that before a weight loss goal can be achieved, it has to be a realistic goal. This isn't just the case with a weight loss goal, it is necessary for any goal you intend to reach. For your goal to be thought realistic, you have to believe that you can actually see through each part necessary to achieve it. Looking at weight loss, once you reach this point of total belief, you will be really motivated to lose weight, and using this additional boost of motivational weight loss you gain a huge advantage working for you.

Having achieved your motivation from the belief you will succeed, you will now be in a position to put in the necessary amount of time and effortto guarantee you succeed. You can achieve almost anything that you choose as long as you have used the right approach to the problem, put your mind to it and ensured you have a realistic goal.

It will require no effort finding the right amount of effort to accomplish a realistic weight loss goal. In the opposite situation, if your goal is unrealistic, deep down inside you will know it is not reachable and, unsurprisingly, you won’t be prepared to put in the effort needed to achieve it. When you believe the odds are in your favour you are always going to make more effort.

If you are starting towards a weight loss goal, think seriously about the likelihood of accomplishing it. Do you believe you can make it? If you really are not confident, you must take the time to adjust the goal until you are happy you can achieve it. If this is the first goal you have ever set for yourself, it is essential it should be realistic and reachable. If this first goal succeeds, think what it might mean! Your new-found powers of goal-setting will become something you can carry onwards and utilise to your benefit for the rest of your life. Just imagine what other goals you might set for yourself. What else could you achieve?

There is nothing wrong with reconsidering a goal. Perhaps you would like to lose 20lbs, but don't really believe you can do it. If that’s the case, why not reset a goal of 5lbs? That seems to be a lot more reachable, right? Now, when you accomplish your goal of 5lbs, what next? You've got it – set another goal of 5lbs. Then do it again, and again and before you know it you’ve lost that 20lbs you wanted to lose.

Ensure you celebrate reaching your weight loss goal. You should feel good about yourself and what you have accomplished. When you have reached your goal, tell your friends, let them know what you have accomplished through your own planning and effort. Once your weight loss goal happens for you, (and with the extra power of motivational weight loss it surely will), you will have learnt from your experience, and also will have gained the confidence, to create more realistic goals for the future to benefit all aspects of your life.
