Are You Really Motivated To Lose Weight?

So you would like to lose weight. That’s good, but are you for real? Do you really have weight loss motivation? If you’re starting a ‘diet’ with some blurred idea about ‘losing a bit of weight’ and maybe doing some exercise to ‘get rid of some fat’, then I suggest you give up now. You really will be wasting your time.

To truly be successful you Have to have a realistic weight loss goal, and your thinking has to be truly motivational. The idea of losing some weight is not a goal, it is just an idea. Weight loss is like anything else – you only get out what you put in.

I liken it to the law of cause and effect. For every effect, there must be a cause. Of course, the cause has to precede the effect. Simple and to the point, it’s the easiest natural law to remember and is the one we all seem to forget.

Would you expect to boil an egg without heating the water first? Or would you think a plant would grow from a seed without being watered? Can you withdraw money from a bank account without first making a deposit? No! Of course not!

Yet, how often have you met a person who feels the world owes them the rewards of success without them first having to put forth the time and effort needed to become that success? According to the law of cause and effect, when enough investment is made, the reward will surely follow. Weight loss works in the same way.

Life educates us and shows us that we need to put logs in a fireplace before we make a fire; we have to make a deposit before we can make a withdrawal; we have to plant seeds, water them, and nurture them before we can harvest the corn. Sadly, all too often, we forget these things when it comes to achieving things for ourselves.

How many times have you heard the words “I did try losing a few pounds but it just doesn't happen for me”. How often do you think what they are really saying is “I tried losing a few pounds but I wasn’t prepared to put sufficient effort in and quit very easily”.

If you want to achieve a particular target, or effect, in your life – and losing weight would be a good example – you’ve got to start with the cause to achieve that effect. When you don’t achieve the goal, or effect, that you want, the chances are that you have not set the appropriate cause into motion.

If you create and initiate the right cause, you can bet the effect you want will follow.

One of the most important decisions you should make in your life is whether you are going to be a cause or an effect? By choosing to be a cause you will instigate effects. If you choose to be an effect, you will be the result of whatever happens to you.

If you really want to lose weight you need to be the cause and do it with passion. Be the cause of your own weight loss. Get motivated to lose weight!
