Are You Victim Of N.b.t Syndrome In Your Home Business? Here's How To Find Out And What You Can Do
As I continue to be in the home business industry, I have people call me and ask me about the N.B.T that they just discovered for their own home business as they were surfing the net….What's N.B.T. you ask? Well it stands for the "Next Big Thing".
The N.B,T; the Next Big Thing is literally a DISEASE that infects and affects almost all networkers until they join at least 3 home business or MLM opportunities; and never make any money with any of them.
Yes, new opportunities will continue to open up to you on a daily and weekly basis…and unless you deal with your disease of the N.B.T, it will cripple your mind and you will forever be on that continual merry go round and never stick with anything long enough to see the fruits of all of your labor, therefore killing any chance of you ever seeing any type of real success and big payouts that you hear so much about.
I now want to cure you from this disease once and for all. All you do is have to Understand these following statements, and you will be cured:
This industry will not save you.
The company that you choose to partner with will not save you.
Your compensation plan will not save you.
It doesn't really matter if you think you have the greatest product in the world (although it does help with your confidence). What really does matter is what Your Customers think about your products and services and if they act on purchasing them.
This is truly your wakeup call and what I teach hundreds of people each and every year…The Home Business Industry is a Marketing Industry, and You are the ultimate product of your company. That is the bottom line..You are the ultimate product…
So here’s the rub….Lose the emotions. Lose the windfall lottery dreams of The Next Big Thing. This is a business where only the people who actually work, survive and thrive. And yes..you can do this...Anyone can be successful in this business; it just takes a bit of work, it takes smart marketing, follow-up and a lot of persistence each and every day.
Really, the only thing that makes the difference in your success or your failure is You. This business is not a J.O.B…it is a career and there really are no free rides. If anyone is telling you that they make $50,000 working only 2-3 hours a day, three or four days a week…I'll let you in on the secret; they are outsourcing almost every part of their business, and are they really then bringing home that 50,000…since good outsourcing does cost a bit of money…
I can tell you they do have a very nice, low stress, no traffic 2 minute commute, (speaking from experience I can tell you the two minute commute is wonderful, having once commuted about 4 hours a day..) but they still work as much, if not more, than anyone in the "real world".
Think about this for just a minute… the average networker treats this industry like weekend sports hobby and if it’s raining outside, then the game gets canceled. Are you one of these types of networkers and still you expect the big $50,000 a month payout?
The time that must be spent to enjoy this kind of payout requires a bit more time than working during the half time of a good football game or during the commercials of the latest episode of Criminal Minds. When you start to gain the discipline and the work ethic needed; then and only then will you see the massive payouts that marketers talk about and then you will probably see these results fairly quickly.
Do you want these super successful results? If you do then my suggestion would be to stop looking for the Next Big Thing. Stop paying attention to the competing advertisements that you see on a daily basis. Trust me when I say that the grass is not necessarily greener on the other side. If you are not getting the results of your business today…..take a long look at the activity that you are honestly driving to your business. If you are not doing the deal where you currently are..do you think that you will do the deal where you are thinking about moving to? I have been in sales and marketing in one form or another for a very long time..and my answer to you would be that I don’t think so.
Until you learn how to build a list, build a relationship with the people on that list, and then market to that list you will never get the results you want, no matter how many companies you partner with.
Now, if the home based company and/or mentor can’t or won’t dedicate the time that you deserve to help you learn and teach you to become a master in these key areas ...then there is some room for concern and you might then think about looking for a better and more dedicated mentor in your Next Big Thing.. Good and dedicated mentors are hard to find and sometimes are just as important as the company that you choose to partner with.
