Are Your Skin Glands Over Active?

Each one of us has glands that are in the skin and there are some cases where a person’s glands can be just more over active than others. The result is that that skin can become very oily which can have some good points but it can also have some negative points.

The main advantage to having oily skin is that having oily skin does help to keep the skin moisturised and protected from the various elements and the results are that the appearance of wrinkles and fines lines are reduced.


When it comes to the disadvantages these are many and this is why there are many people constantly looking for a technique to be able to control the amount of excess oils that are being secreted. Because the skin is oily it does have a tendency to attract a lot more dirt and bacteria and these can cause the pores of the skin to become blocked which will ultimately lead to the development and breakout of spots and acne as well as other blemishes.

The actual oil that is generated by the glands is not dangerous to the skin and it is certainly not a threat to the life of a person. It can lead to some form of embarrassment as having a shiny face is neither appealing nor attractive for the sufferer.

There are numerous products that you can obtain to help treat your skin and this does not need to be an expensive process as there are many natural and simple alternatives that can be used compared to the many commercial products that are widely available.

If you are suffering from oily skin you will also come to realise that it can also be quite sensitive and so it does need to be handled gently. Any products that you use need to be suitable for sensitive skin and they should also be organic which means that they contain a high percentage of active ingredients that are derived from nature such as that of plants and fruits.

One thing that needs to be considered is that you are not using products on your skin that contains any type of oil, and if you are suffering from oily hair, this needs to be kept away from your skin.

Other simple skin care tips that you should consider are to change the pillows that you sleep on often. These will be absorbing any oils that is on your skin and over time will just reapply the oils back to your skin.

Drinking water and watching your diet is also a great benefit as this will lead to your body being in a position where it can function correctly and so quicken the healing process of your skin.

If you are finding that you are a member of a gym and that you are sweating a great deal, then you need to be washing your body and face straight away.

Sweating can actually make the matter worse, so even though you are helping to increase your heart rate, you are opening your pores prone to some attack from bacteria and additional grime.
